Privacy Policy

Mentor AI ("Mentor AI", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Lepak Labs (UEN 53534540B), registered in Singapore. We respect your privacy and handle personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. What data we collect

Name: the first name or nickname you choose to give us (optional). We ask you not to use your full name.
Email address: used for your account login and essential messages.
Conversation content: the messages you send to Mentor AI and its replies.
Goals: the goals you set and their status (active, paused, completed).
Account and usage data: sign-up date, trial and subscription status, number of messages used, consent records, and safety-filter events.
Password: stored only as a one-way salted hash. We can never see your actual password.

We do not ask for, and our system is designed to automatically remove, sensitive identifiers such as full names, home addresses, phone numbers, NRIC/FIN/passport numbers, passwords and payment card numbers if they are typed into a chat.

2. How we use your data

To provide the service: to create your account, run conversations, and keep your chat history and goals.
To personalise your experience: so Mentor AI can remember your goals and recent context and guide you over time.
To send essential updates: such as password resets, important service or policy changes, and billing notices. We will not send marketing without your separate consent.
To keep the service safe: to detect and prevent harmful content and misuse, and to keep security and audit records.

3. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, your account, goals and conversations are deleted from our live database.
Conversation data is retained for 90 days, after which message content is anonymized.
Minimal records needed for legal, security or billing purposes (for example, consent and audit logs that do not contain conversation content) may be kept for as long as required by law.

4. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may:

Access the personal data we hold about you (you can also download it from the "My plan" page),
Correct inaccurate personal data,
Delete your data and account (available from the "My plan" page), and
Withdraw consent to our processing of your data, noting that we may then be unable to provide the service.

5. Third-party sharing

We NEVER sell your data. Your data is processed only by service providers who help us deliver Mentor AI:

Cloudflare (hosting, Workers and D1 database), and
our AI provider (currently xAI, which generates Mentor AI's replies). Only the information needed to generate a reply — your recent messages and goals — is sent.
If paid plans launch, a payment processor will handle card details directly; we will not store your card number.

These providers may process data outside Singapore. Where that happens we take steps to ensure your data receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA. We may also disclose data where required by law.

6. Children

Mentor AI is designed to be family-friendly and suitable for ages 10 and up. Children should use Mentor AI with adult supervision. Users under 18 should have a parent or guardian's consent before signing up. Parents or guardians may contact us to access or delete their child's data.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only to keep you securely logged in (an HttpOnly session cookie). With your permission, we may use non-essential cookies such as anonymous analytics to improve Mentor AI. On your first visit we show a banner where you can accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer.

8. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), salted password hashing, access controls, and automatic filtering of sensitive details. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

9. Consent

By signing up, you agree to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. We record the date of your consent.

10. Changes and contact
